The purpose of this privacy statement is to explain how Nordkalk Corporation and its authorised partners and affiliates process personal data received through Nordkalk’s websites and internet service, and other customer and partner interactions. Statement also explains how Nordkalk website uses cookies to store information on your computer.

What data do we process?
In order to be able to fulfil contractual and legal obligations, Nordkalk may collect Personal Data from sole traders, members of partnership or generally any individuals working for a corporate customer or supplier (“Customers” and “Suppliers”).

How do we collect your Personal Data?
We collect Personal Data that you voluntarily provide to us, for example when (i) you communicate with us via e-mail, contact forms on our website, or other channels, (ii) when you sign up for or ask us to send you newsletters or other (marketing) materials, (iii) when you engage in business discussions. In some cases, your Personal Data has been supplemented by information retrieved from other sources, including searches via publicly available search engines, external third-party credit reference agencies and registers, sector-specific newsletters, social media and your employer’s website, for the purpose of e.g. confirming your current professional position.
Nordkalk website includes also some forms through which you can give Nordkalk your personal data, such as name and e-mail address. We ask for this data in order to answer your questions and requests, to maintain customer relations and thus improve our service. We might use it for sending you Nordkalk-related material also in the future. Each e-mail message sent to you will include an option to stop receiving messages from Nordkalk.
By providing information to Nordkalk through this website, you agree and consent to the collection and use of personally identifying information as described in this statement. Information received via the anonymous Whistleblowing reporting channel only includes personal data if the person making the report decides to make their identity known.
Legal basis and use of your Personal Data
Personal Data will be used only for purposes and duties set in legislation. Such purposes may include:
Nordkalk’s processing is based on our legitimate interest, with the exception of website cookies, the use of which is based on the consent of the website visitor. A website user may withdraw their consent at any time via their browser settings.
Nordkalk processes a part of your personal data based on the consent that you have provided. Such processing includes cookies used online that improve the functionality of our services (see below). When Nordkalk processes your data based on your consent, you can revoke your consent at any time.
Please note that Nordkalk Corporation forms an international group of companies where certain services are provided centralized by one or more affiliates for the entire group or a part of it. Whenever we share Personal Data with affiliates, we request from them that they commit themselves to process the Personal Data in line with this Statement.
In addition, it may be necessary to share Personal Data with third parties who provide services to us for all purpose described in this Notice (the “Service Providers”). Such Service Providers may include providers of IT and technical services, cloud computing services, customer and financial services. Whenever we share Personal Data with such Service Providers we request that they process Personal Data provided by us only for our purposes and in accordance with our instructions and that they implement the technical and organizational measures to protect Personal Data against unauthorized access, loss, theft, alteration and use as appropriate considering the level of sensitivity of Personal Data being processed.
Data security
Nordkalk endeavours to implement and maintain best possible technical measures at its disposal to protect Personal Data against any intrusion, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or deletion. These means and measures include different types of technical and physical measures as well as appropriate guidance, training and contractual safeguards towards any individuals or entities who may have access to Personal Data as part of their duties for Nordkalk Group.
Personal Data will be made available only to specific Nordkalk employees, where there is a legitimate need for them to have access as part of their job. The access to Personal Data is restricted by employees’ position in Nordkalk and is available only to those persons whose work requires processing the data.
Who processes data?
Only designated persons can process personal data in Nordkalk Corporation. We may transfer data to selected partners in order for them to process data, for instance external service desk and communication services.
We ensure that any parties who process data on our behalf are committed to complying with data protection regulations and ensuring the information security of their systems. Data processors are only granted access to the information necessary for performing their assigned tasks.
No data is used for automated decision-making, such as profiling.
For how long will data be stored?
As a rule, Nordkalk processes data for as long as the data subject performs duties that are connected with Nordkalk’s activities. We have specified deletion periods for other processing functions, and remove unnecessary data accordingly on an annual basis.
We endeavour to ensure that data is always up to date, and we will remove any erroneous data.
You can unsubscribe marketing materials and newsletters at any time, if you no longer wish to receive communications and invitations from Nordkalk. If you choose to unsubscribe, we will cease to send you such communication and invitations as mentioned above.
Data transfers
In principle, Nordkalk does not disclose Personal Data to external parties unless required by the legislation or an order given by the authorities, and for ensuring that services for employees and/ or for business partners are available for them.
We use international cloud services in the processing of personal data and data may be transferred outside the EU/EEA in connection with those services. We ensure that appropriate safeguards in accordance with the GDPR are used in data transfers.
In case of transferring Personal Data, Nordkalk makes sure that the data in question is appropriately protected as required by the privacy legislation in force at the time. Nordkalk makes sure that it is using tools and applications which are secure and/or appropriate contractual clauses are included in the agreement with the party which is receiving Personal Data. If any Personal Data is transferred outside the European Union, specific documentation requirement exists.
